Does everything have a decay rate, just so small, it's not possible to see unless you're playing for over say, a thousand days? Anyone been able to measure decay rates of items? Thanks in advance. Strangely, the flare gun being a tool and flare shells being tools as well seem to decay (without use) quite fast two hundred days in ML, and they'd lost around 3%. 1.16.4+ Only: Combining a Glass Item Frame with Glowstone Dust creates a Glowing Glass Item Frame - it glows in the dark. I've only recently found out that meat stored outside decays very slowly, and I started thinking about the classifications of decaying items. Some things are now defined as not decaying such as matches and accelerant. Things that decay from use tend to not decay because use causes condition loss. Decay nominally starts at the time the sandbox is initiall spawned, but decay is not always consistent across everything.
Brewed beverages don't seem to decay, though I've not noticed it carefully. The basic timeline for item decay is 1,000 days. Which items decay, or, which items don't? For instance, I know that fishing tackle or tinder plugs don't decay what other items exist in a binary state like fuel or tinder? What about tools do tools decay without use? Do they decay if kept outside? How fast do clothes decay, inside and contained, inside and not contained, or outside? How fast do bedrolls decay? Antibiotics and painkillers? (It seems like reishi tea and rose hip tea do not decay, which seems odd.).
