I read on one forum somewhere that someone solved this problem by using a parallel to serial cable, but my computer does not have a serial port, and I don't see why it won't work with a straight parallel to parallel cable?! I have tried all sorts of drivers, all bios printer settings, different DIP switch combinations, still nothing.Īt some point I managed to print a test page which consisted of rows of question marks, but that only happened once, and subsequent attempts at printing have succeeded only in making the paper feed out about 1mm. I fix computers for a living and have never struggled like this to get a printer working. I spent 15 hours on them in the last 24 hours and I am at my wits end.
They both performed their self-test successfully, and they both say 'ready', yet they never print.
I have hooked them both up via parallel cable, (not simultaneously) yet neither will print. I recently bought two thermal printers (Epson TM-T88IV) and know they were both working when I bought them.
